Almost done with this as the last and largest pain Almost done with this as the last and largest painting for the 2 person show opening Sunday, September 21st at 1 PM at The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University with Barbara Fox and her amazing work!

This one is pretty big. 31.5” x 57.25” in a nice vintage guilded frame.
This is another painting that will be exhibited at This is another painting that will be exhibited at The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University in the dresser gallery along with 26 other paintings of mine and a similar number of works by Barbara Fox.

This was a 28”x36” painting begun by J. Cole Young approximately 40 years ago. After cleaning, repairing and stabilizing the canvas I proceeded to “finish” the painting using, the info on the canvas, my memories of plein air travels with Cole and our the landscape of our region to guide me.
These two are competed. They will be on exhibit st These two are competed. They will be on exhibit starting this Sunday at 1 PM at the Quick Art Center on the campus of SBU.
Started by J. Cole Young approximately 40 years ago. Back when during a time when we would travel and paint en plein air. Cole’s daughter gave me the larger one 18”x24”on canvas when I helped her recover them from his barn studio. There is a before image after I cleaned and stabilized it. There was enough info in it for me to guess what his plan was for it. I hope I have done it justice.
The other is a 9”x12” study on canvas paper. This was gifted to me by Marcia Kelly when we were going through her late husband’s artwork, his collections of other artists and his art supplies. Jack Kelly was incredibly prolific in creating art for many, many years. There is a before and after photo and a phot of the back in verso.
I will have several new works for this exhibition I will have several new works for this exhibition along with the fabulous Barbara Fox. There will be a 1PM opening Sept 21st in the Dresser Gallery at the Quick Arts Center on the Campus of St. Bonaventure University.

I plan on exhibiting larger pieces as well. Some will be works that my friend and mentor, the Late J. Cole Young, started approximately 40 years ago. He was instrumental in the development of the Fine Arts program at SBU and the construction of the Quick Arts Center.
