I haven’t posted in a while. Busy with a myriad of things. One of them is another SBU Alumni Jazz band concert coming up Friday, June 26th at 8:30 PM in the Quick Arts Center theater. My fabulous daughter Aline will be singing with this version of the band again. That date is also Cheryl’s milestone birthday.

We had the opportunity to visit Sam at his project

We had the opportunity to visit Sam at his project at the Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna, where he is on a crew crafting a new copper dome. The structure is truly impressive. We are extremely proud of Sam and his exceptional metalworking skills. He is now playing a new jazz ES-335 style guitar he had shipped to our house. He also has mad music skills too amongst other things. He amazing and very humble.

Shout out to Nurse Cheryl High-Wintermantel who was surprised when her alma mater St Bonaventure University gave her their very first “Preceptor of the Year” award this morning. She was very touched as the award was presented by the niece of her very dear friend, the late Christine Conner. Cheryl has instructed many of the nursing students from the SBU School of Nursing. She’s a sharp, knowledgeable nurse and the students are grateful for her seasoned guidance. @cherwintermantel
